Michal Trpák was born in 1982 in the Czech Republic. His art studies started at the Secondary School of Arts in Cesky Krumlov. After he went to study at Academy of Arts and Design in Prague where he took his masters degree. During his studies he went to a one-year exchange stay to Lahti in Finland and later also a year exchange in Vancouver, Canada. After graduating from Prague in 2007 he started to work as an artist and apart from it he finished his PhD at Academy of Arts in Banska Bystrica-Slovakia. Since 2007 Michal Trpák has been organizing a sculpture exhibition in the public space of Ceske Budejovice called ART In the City (www.umenivemeste.cz) where sculptors exhibit their works during the summer. The sculptures and paintings made by Michal Trpák are in public spaces and private collections around the world. In 2014 he was exhibiting at some great events like Icastica in Arezzo Italy or Secret garden Party in the UK. 2017 Exhibited at Arezo France. 2018 Agueda Portugal and Saint Quentine France. In 2019 starting art and architecture studio Scoolpt (www.sccolpt.com) which is focused on 3D printed objects from concrete. Scoolpt unveiling in summer 2020 world first floating 3D printed liveable sculpture called Prvok/protozoa. Besides organizing and creating artistic projects Michal Trpák travels to sail the seas or ski peaks around the globe as he believes nature is the best sculptor.
