DAN Europe makes waves with ART4SEA at the EUDI Show 2025
DAN Europe brought Art4sea to the forefront at the EUDI Show 2025, Europe’s premier diving exhibition, showcasing the project’s innovative blend of creativity and marine conservation from the dedicated “DAN Stage”.
On Sunday, 23rd February, DAN Europe’s EU Projects Coordinator, Fabio Figurella, presented Art4sea to a wide audience, highlighting how art can foster meaningful connections between communities and the Mediterranean Sea. The engaging presentation was broadcast live on Facebook (DAN Europe – Italia) and YouTube, amplifying the project’s message and allowing global audiences to experience Art4sea’s inspiring initiatives in real time.
The excitement at the DAN Europe stand began early in the event. On the first day, Friday, 21st February, artist Riccardo Buonafede captivated attendees with a dynamic live painting session. DAN Europe first connected with Buonafede through the Art4Sea project, where he was selected as one of the featured artists from the international call. Invited by DAN Europe to take part in the event, his artwork became the striking visual backdrop of the DAN Stage for the remainder of the exhibition.

Figurella’s Sunday presentation detailed the project’s upcoming highlights, including public exhibitions planned on the Mediterranean islands of Alonissos (Greece), Gozo (Malta), and Ustica (Italy). During these exhibitions, participating artists will complete and publicly display their extraordinary physical artworks, inviting local communities and international visitors to engage more deeply with ocean conservation themes. Also unveiled was Art4sea’s exciting initiative for the creation of underwater sculptures, designed to serve as both powerful artistic statements and lasting educational tools to inspire marine stewardship.
Additionally, Art4sea’s groundbreaking Virtual Exhibition was announced, scheduled to launch in July 2025 at the Vision Multimedia Center in Vlorë, Albania. This innovative digital gallery will be accessible worldwide via standard web browsers and immersive Metaverse platforms, bringing Art4sea’s ocean-inspired artwork to global audiences and later touring digital corners in Alonissos, Gozo, and Ustica.
The project’s journey will culminate in a spectacular grand final event on Ustica, celebrating Art4sea’s impactful contributions to ocean literacy and environmental awareness. Through these initiatives, ART4SEA continues to break new ground, leveraging art’s unique ability to inspire transformative connections between society and the ocean, encouraging sustainable actions for a healthier future.
